Your pod and your data

Close your account

What goes, what stays, and how to come back.

In Account, the Close account tab.

What goes

Your name, picture, about-you lines, place and link, your search settings, the icons you threw, how you use icons, your wheel order, your packs, the people you muted or blocked, who you follow, and the links to your pictures.

What stays

The short sentences made from your thoughts, with their bars and counts. They move to the Archivist, a read-only account, so your name no longer appears on them.

Yours, in your pod

The words you typed were only ever written to your pod. unlint does not have them and does not touch your pod. Delete what you like there.

Two ways to close

  • Let it sleep: unlint keeps only your pod address. Sign in again with the same pod and your thoughts, replies and average come back.
  • Remove your pod address permanently: you have 24 hours to change your mind. Signing in during those 24 hours cancels it.

Type CLOSE to confirm.

Your pod

Closing your account does not close your pod. To close your pod and everything in it for good, go to your pod's account page and use Close your pod (download everything first if you want to keep it).
